How we look after your details
We only ask for what we need to serve you, we never sell it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

Who we are
Sanara Grill Company Limited (“Sanara Grill”, “we”), Jangwani Shopping Centre, Mbezi Beach, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, is the data controller for personal data collected through sanaragrill.com and at our restaurant. Contact: info@sanaragrill.com or +255 716 110 011.
What we collect
- When you book a table: your name, phone number, date, time, number of guests, seating preference and any requests you write.
- When you order for pickup or delivery: your name, phone number, what you ordered, how you will pay and, for delivery, the address or area you give us.
- When you contact us by phone, WhatsApp or email: what you choose to tell us.
- Sanara Market and the Marketplace: the same order details as above. If you ask to be told when the shop opens, your name and phone number. If you apply to sell, your business and contact details.
- Sanara Club (if you join): your name, phone number, birthday day and month if you give them, your points, rewards and passes, and which orders earned points. Kept while you are a member; ask us and we delete it.
- At the restaurant: our premises are covered by CCTV for the safety of guests and staff. Signs show where cameras are.
We do not ask for card details, ID numbers or anything we don’t need. Please don’t include health or other sensitive details in your notes unless you want us to act on them (for example, a food allergy).
Why we use it
- To confirm, prepare and deliver your booking or order, and to contact you about it.
- To answer your questions and handle complaints.
- To keep our premises safe (CCTV).
We use your details because you asked us to provide a service (a booking or an order) and, where needed, with your consent. We do not send marketing messages unless you ask to receive them.
Who sees it
- Our own staff who handle bookings and orders.
- Our website and email providers, who store data for us under contract. Our website is hosted by Namecheap on servers outside Tanzania; we use them because they keep the data secure and we stay responsible for it.
- WhatsApp (Meta), only if you choose to send your booking or order through WhatsApp.
- Vodacom M-Pesa, only if you choose to pay online: your M-Pesa number and the amount, so the payment can be made.
- Authorities, only where the law requires it.
We never sell or rent your details.
How long we keep it
Booking and order details are deleted automatically 12 months after the date of the booking. CCTV recordings are overwritten after a short period unless needed to deal with an incident.
How we protect it
The website uses an encrypted (https) connection. Bookings are stored in a private database that only signed-in staff can reach, each with their own account.
Your browser
The website remembers your language choice and what is in your order on your own device. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.
Your rights
You can ask to see the details we hold about you, correct them, or have them deleted, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Email info@sanaragrill.com or call +255 716 110 011 and we will reply within 30 days.
If you are not happy with how we handled your data, you can complain to the Personal Data Protection Commission (Tume ya Ulinzi wa Taarifa Binafsi): www.pdpc.go.tz.
Changes
If we change this notice, we will update the date at the top of this page.
